More than 200 volunteers are expected to build a new playground Wednesday at the DeKalb Academy of Technology and Environment Elementary and Middle Charter Schools in Stone Mountain.

School volunteers are getting help from two companies—Dr Pepper Snapple Group and QuikTrip—and from the Washington, D.C.-based non-profit KaBOOM !, which has been building playgrounds across America.

The playground is based on drawings by children who attended a design event in June. The build is 9 a.m. To 3 p.m., at the schools, 1492 Kelton Dr.
