Belmont Village Senior Living, in Sandy Springs, will honor veterans and local first responders during a ceremony at 1 p.m. Friday. Mayor Eva Galambos and Rep. Joe Wilkinson, will give remarks and present awards. Veterans from Sandy Springs and the north Fulton County area will be recognized and thanked for their service. Sandy Springs Police and Fire departments will be recognized as well. A reception will follow the ceremony, to be held at Belmont Village Senior Living, 5455 Glenridge Dr. NE. The event is free and open to the public.
