A YouTube highlight video calls him "the next Vince Wilfork."

Scouts must think highly of rising Milton High School sophomore Paul Tchio to liken him to Wilfork, a defensive tackle who won two Super Bowl’s with the New England Patriots. But others like Tchio are better on the offensive side of the ball.

This past weekend in Athens, the University of Georgia became the first program to offer a scholarship to Tchio, who checks in at 6-foot-6 and 321 pounds. Rivals reported the offer on Tuesday and talked with Tchio, who said he's a "big fan" of the Bulldogs.

Tchio told Rivals that he worked with Georgia’s offensive line coach Sam Pittman this past weekend, and then running backs coach Dell McGee reached out to him with an offer.

“… (Pittman) told me if I wanted to earn an offer that I needed to show him explosiveness, that I can use my hips, that I can finish blocks and that I can move my feet,” Tchio said to Rivals. “… When I have been (at UGA), I honestly felt like I was at home. I love seeing how the players and the coaches have such a close bond with each other.”

Rivals reports that Clemson and Ohio State have also shown interest in Tchio. For Milton, he played on the offensive and defensive line last season and also booted kickoffs.

Tchio and Milton open their 2017 season on Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. on the road against Alpharetta. The Milton Eagles finished 5-6 last season.
