Lawrecneville’s LCI Downtown Pedestrian Safety Project continues with the conversion of S. Perry Street and S. Clayton Street to two-way traffic, except for Clayton between Crogan and Pike streets, which will remain one-way. Intersections throughout the city are being widened and receiving signal improvements, including pedestrian signals.

Construction continues this week with survey, layout, backfill and dressing of street shoulders, as well as grading for new curb and gutter from Dons Way to Luckie Street, concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk installation along Clayton Street, storm drain installation along Scenic Highway and Jackson Street at Highway 29, and electrical conduit installation.

All work activities are subject to change without notice and are weather dependent.
