DeKalb County police were investigating two shootings Tuesday morning in south DeKalb.
The most recent shooting happened shortly before 11 a.m. in the 23oo block of Wesley Chapel Road.
Police spokeswoman Mekka Parish told the AJC that a man was standing inside a home when someone in a car fired multiple shots into the house.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he later died of his wounds.
A second man inside the home at the time of the shooting was not injured, Parish said.
She had no description of the suspect or the vehicle from which the shots were fired.
Earlier in the morning, DeKalb detectives investigated another shooting that left a man in critical condition.
That victim, a Hispanic male, was apparently shot and then dumped in the 1600 block of Henrico Road in the Conley area of south DeKalb shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday, according to DeKalb police Sgt. H.K. Stafford.
Stafford said the man was in critical condition, in surgery at Grady Memorial Hospital.
The man's name has not been released.
