The Fayette County Board of Commissioners voted 4-0-1 (with Charles Rousseau absent) on Thursday to confirm two appointees to the McIntosh Trail Community Service Board.

The 15-member board helps provide services for those with mental health, developmental disability and addictive disease issues in Fayette, Henry, Butts, Lamar, Spalding, Upson and Pike counties; three members come from Fayette. Elizabeth Morgan, who has served on the board since 2017, was reappointed for a term that will start immediately and continue through June 30, 2023. County Manager Steve Rapson told the commissioners that Sheriff Barry Babb has agreed to serve as the county’s designated elected official on the board, for the same term.

The commission confirmed his appointment by a 4-0-1 vote also.
