Two people were killed and three others injured Sunday night in a head-on collision that Forsyth County investigators said was possibly alcohol-related.

The wreck happened about 8:20 p.m. on Ga. 53 near Anderson Lake Road.

According to Forsyth sheriff's Capt. Frank Huggins, a westbound 2005 Dodge Stratus crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2007 Kia Sportage that was eastbound.

The Kia driver, 48-year-old Ricky Joe Frady of Suwanee, was killed instantly, Huggins said. A rear-seat passenger in the Kia, Brenda Willliams, 57, of Gainesville, was also killed.

Two other passengers in the small sport utility vehicle were seriously injured, Huggins said. Kishia Ray, 18, of Gainesville, was airlifted to Gwinnett Medical Center, while Hattie Lorene Skywark, 48, of Suwanee, was taken by ambulance to North Fulton Hospital.

The driver of the Dodge, Deborah Elaine Mace, 44, of Gainesville, was also airlifted to Gwinnett Medical Center in serious condition, according to Huggins.

Huggins said that sheriff's Traffic Specialist Ron Tomblin "said it appears that alcohol consumption and excessive speed may have been factors in the wreck and that charges are pending once he completes his investigation."
