Turner Theological Seminary will hold its 117th Founders’ Day with the Third Annual Isaac R. Clark Sr. Clergy and Music Conference on Jan. 31 through Feb. 3.

“Transforming Theory into Practice – Rethinking and Reframing Church Leadership in the 21st Century” is the theme for the four-day gathering of African Methodist Episcopal Church leadership at Saint Philip A.M.E. Church,  240 Candler Road, SE. The convocation will be held at the  Interdenominational Theological Center, 700 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, SW on Feb. 3 .

Speakers include Bishop Samuel L. Green, presiding prelate of the Twelfth Episcopal District of the AME church;, the Rev.  Kenneth E. Marcus, senior pastor of Turner Chapel AME Church;   and the Rev.  Floyd H. Flake of Greater Allen AME Cathedral of  New York .

James Abbington, associate professor of music and worship at the Candler School of Theology, at Emory University, will lead the music workshops at 4:30 p.m. on Feb.  1 and Feb. 2. at Saint Philip.
