A third person man has been charged in connection with the brutal killing of a Griffin man.

William Franklin Moore Jr., 30, was arrested Thursday and booked into the Spalding County jail. Moore and two others, Todd Eric Jones, 17, and Justin Cody Tuggle, 18, are charged with murder, armed robbery and aggravated assault.

Jones and Tuggle were charged earlier this week, police said. Moore was apparently stabbed during the incident early Monday was arrested after being released from the hospital. All three suspects are being held without bond.

Kevin Donald Harmon's body was found in a vacant lot. Investigators were not releasing details of how Harmon was killed, but described the slaying as brutal.

Sheriff's Office Capt. Tony Ranieri said Monica Diane Martin, 30, has been charged with lying to investigators called to the scene. She has has been released from jail on bond.

Ranieri said deputies were called to the Runaway Lake Subdivision around 5:30 a.m. Monday to investigate a stabbing report.

Moore was flown to a hospital in Atlanta after being stabbed in the leg and the back, Ranieri said.

“It all started out [with] we had a stabbing victim,” Ranieri said. “The stories were not matching the crime scene. Those stories weren’t adding up, which led us to a robbery, which led us to a murder, which led us to a body.”

No additional arrests are expected.
