The third annual Collards Cook-Off at the East Lake Farmers Market has been scheduled for Saturday, April 14, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Hosea L. Williams Drive in Atlanta. Both amateurs and area chefs are encouraged to download the entry form at www.elfmarket.org. For a $10 tasting fee, attendees can sample the selections.
Judges include Atlanta City Councilmember Natalyn Archibong, DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson and Chef Andy Gonzales from Steinbeck's Ale House and the Oakhurst Market.
