My complaint with government shutdowns is that the employees don't come to work and don't get paid, but then when Congress passes a bill to fund the government all those workers ultimately get paid for the days they didn't work. Since we know they'll get paid eventually the workers should have a choice to keep working during the shutdown or don't come to work and don't get paid.

Don't tell me there aren't people who take advantage of government benefits.

The Sarah Palin Channel is going offline. One can only hope subscribers got their money's worth in jewels of political wisdom, lifestyle advice, morality, and world view insight.

The only reason that Republicans were blamed for the shut down is that they did it. And if it happens again, it will be the Republicans that do it and they who will cost us millions and yes, we will blame you again.

Consider this regarding the fair tax. If I make $30,000 and spend it all for living expenses and you make $100,000 and spend $40,000 on living expenses, then I am paying taxes on 100 percent of my income while you pay on only 40 percent.
