Technical College System to expand international reach

The Technical College System of Georgia will open a new center to partner with colleges in other countries and attract more international students and faculty to the system's 25 colleges. Sanford Chandler, president of Chattahoochee Technical College, will run the new International Center for Technical Education starting Oct. 1, officials announced Thursday. During his time at Chattahoochee Tech, he  developed partnerships with programs in China, Kenya, Saudi Arabia and South Korea. Ron Newcomb, the school's provost, will serve as interim president.
