The Tea Party has been a largely national movement.

Now it’s going local – including right here in metro Atlanta.

Tea party members are fighting county tax increases, scrutinizing school redistricting and lobbying under the Gold Dome, fighting the same ills they perceive on the national scene: reckless overspending and government trampling on people’s rights.

“I want my country back, and it starts right here locally,” says Dianne DeVore, of the North Fulton and Friends Tea Party.
