Taste of East Cobb organizers have put a spin on its annual event to support local restaurants while practicing social distancing guidelines.

Organizers have temporarily changed the event’s name to Taste of TAKE-OUT East Cobb and are encouraging the public to order to-go meals from restaurants Saturday, May 23 and throughout Memorial Day weekend.

Taste of East Cobb was originally scheduled for May 2, but the COVID-19 pandemic forced organizers to postpone the event.

“Dealing with the pandemic doesn’t have to mean eating the same boring home-cooked meals over and over again,” said Amy Davies, the 2020 co-chair. “This is a great time to order something new and try an East Cobb restaurant or shop you may not have visited before.”

East Cobb businesses who would like to be mentioned as restaurants to consider can email tasteofeastcobb@gmail.com. You can learn more about Taste of TAKE-OUT East Cobb by visiting its website or Facebook page.
