TAKE TO TASK
Fixed: Brookhaven (DeKalb)
In November, we told you about Joe Hammell’s issue with a steel plate on the far right-hand side of the southbound lanes at the intersection of Peachtree Road and Brookhaven Drive NE for more than six months.
“When will the steel plate be removed ?” he wondered.
We started investigating and learned from Brookhaven officials the issue would have to be addressed by the DOT because it is a drainage pipe issue and Peachtree Road is a state issue. We learned the issue has been fixed.

Anne Palmer has an issue with a dangerous pipe.
“I have emailed DeKalb County Roads and Drainage, and have left voice messages to no avail. There is and has been a jagged pipe which is quite hazardous to tires. It is located in the right lane in front of a silver fire hydrant at or near 3640 N Druid Hills Road, and a short distance as one turns right onto said road from Asbury Court,” she wrote.
We sent the issue to county officials and will let you know when it is fixed.
