Charlie Evans hopes two troublesome potholes can soon be fixed.
“Here is a new picture of two potholes with metal strips next to The Varsity parking lot (in background) that are at least seven months old . Can’t the city of Atlanta fix this obvious road hazard?” he wondered.
We sent the item to the city and will keep you updated on the situation.

Caroline Knight is tired of walking in the dark.
“I noticed recently that there are no street lights on the northwest side of Lenox Road between Piedmont and Tower Place Drive. This makes it very dangerous for pedestrians due to the fact that the sidewalk is extremely uneven in that area. I was walking on Thursday night at 7 p.m. and could only see the pavement when cars were coming toward me. I tripped over one of the sidewalk slabs,” she wrote.
We forwarded the situation to the city and will let you know what happens.

John Phelan hopes something can be done about lane markings on one of the busiest stretches of highway in the region.
“The lane lines/markings on a portion of the southbound downtown connector are very faint and have been for months. The faint striping actually starts on I-75 south at the Northside Drive exit and continues onto the connector up to 14th/17th street. Driving on the connector is always a dicey affair and the essentially invisible lines just add to the fun. Seriously, I can’t believe that this has been overlooked for so long,” he wrote.
We sent the item to the DOT and will let you know when the lines are repainted.
