Among the sidewalk projects approved recently in Suwanee, the City Council gave the go-ahead for $47,145 to build sidewalks along Stonecypher Road.

The contract with Clark Patterson Lee for civil engineering and surveying services include design of sidewalk from the end of existing sidewalk at the townhome area on Stonecypher road down to Main St. with connection to existing Brushy Creek Greenway along with associated crosswalks and signage.

The project includes ramp and crosswalk to connect existing sidewalk on the east side of Main St. as well as Eva Kennedy Road. The design will also include abutment designs for the pedestrian bridge over Brushy Creek, leaving the existing culverts and gas line untouched.

This project is included in the city’s Pedestrian Bicycle Plan.
