Benny Sims of Inland Sims Development LLC. owns a little over 19 acres along Satellite Boulevard just northeast of Smithtown Road/Sawmill Drive intersection. The land is in unincorporated Gwinnett and will be annexed into Suwanee city limits and zoned for light industrial use thanks to city council approval of an annexation and rezoning request made by the owner. The land is adjacent to another eight acres he owns that already lies within city limits.

The property includes an existing 35,000-square-foot industrial building and gravel and paved parking areas. A portion of the building is already within city limits. Sims is proposing the construction of four new office/warehouse buildings totaling 67,000 square feet. Approval of the annexation will simplify jurisdiction for delivery of services including fire and emergency services.
