Suspects, victim arrested after home invasion

Four home invasion suspects were arrested along with their victim Thursday night after Gwinnett County police determined that the incident was drug-related.

The alleged victim, Arthur Jenkins, told police that three men armed with a handgun forced their way into his home on Dowry Drive in Lawrenceville about 8:15 p.m. and demanded money, Gwinnett police Cpl. David Schiralli said.

“While officers were enroute, the victim stated that the suspects had left in a blue Chevrolet Tahoe and that he was following them,” Schiralli said. “He also stated that the suspects had fired several shots at him.”

Jenkins gave police the tag number of the Tahoe, and officers in the area spotted the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

Schiralli said officers found a handgun and a “large quantity” of marijuana and cocaine inside the Tahoe and arrested the four occupants.

Cedric Thomas, 19, of Norcross and Almasi King, 24, of Atlanta were charged with armed robbery and possession of marijuana. Courthey Dun, 25, of Marietta and Alvin Banks, 29, of Lithonia, were charged with armed robbery, marijuana possession and aggravated assault.

Jenkins, 36, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and aggravated assault.
