A 15-year-old boy who had a prior run-in with Atlanta police about a month ago, when a stolen car crashed into an police car, was arrested Thursday for a triple shooting that left a 15-year-old girl dead, authorities said.

The suspect was served with warrants for murder, aggravated battery and aggravated assault and transported to the Fulton County Juvenile Detention Center, APD spokeswoman Officer Kim Jones said.

Police found the girl's body early Saturday when they arrived at a home on Altoona Place in southwest Atlanta, Channel 2 Action News reported. Two other people were found wounded on the scene. The young man and young woman were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Atlanta police Lt. Paul Guerruci told Channel 2, "Our preliminary on-scene investigation has revealed that the incident may have stemmed from an argument between the two groups, and then the argument escalated into the shooting."

No names were released.

As for the young suspect’s prior arrest, Guerruci said, “In early February, that individual was arrested by police in reference to a stolen vehicle. During that engagement, the individual actually rammed a police car.”
