It hasn't really felt like spring the past few days in metro Atlanta. The temperature at noon Wednesday was around 60 degrees; that's several degrees cooler than the 65 registered in Minneapolis -- which, for the geographically challenged, isn't too far from Canada.
But that's about to change.
Mostly sunny skies will help temperatures climb into the lower 70s Wednesday, Channel 2 Action News chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said. By Thursday, temperatures are expected to jump by 10 degrees to a more seasonable 82-degree high, Burns said.
Temperatures will continue to climb through the end of the week, hitting the upper 80s Friday, Burns said. Low temperatures will dip only into the lower 60s early Friday.
The next chance of rain will come Sunday, when there is a 20 percent chance of showers.
