If you didn't remember to “spring forward” for daylight saving time overnight, today's springlike weather should serve as a nice reminder.
While the near-freezing lows remind us it’s still winter, Sunday’s high is expected to reach 62 degrees in Atlanta.
The sunshine and nice weather should get people out of the house this weekend after an unusually rainy couple of months, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Eboni Deon said.
And though we’ll lose an hour by moving the clocks forward, the sun isn’t expected to set until 7:40 p.m.

“That’s the trade-off we’re going to see for losing that hour of sleep,” Deon said. “We’ll get more daylight.”

Those heading out early may want to bundle up, however, as temperatures in metro Atlanta aren’t expected to get above 40 degrees until about 10 a.m., she said.
Dry weather means construction crews will be out in full force, so drivers are encouraged to give themselves plenty of time.
The rain should hold off through Monday before a warm front moves in on Tuesday, bringing wet weather back to metro Atlanta. No severe storms are expected, but there is a 60% chance of scattered showers, Deon said. That chance of rain drops to 40% on Wednesday.
