About 300 metro Atlantans are still without power due to severe weather that hit the city earlier today.

Georgia Power spokeswoman, Konswello Monroe said that victims of the outages spanned from throughout the Atlanta area.

Georgia Power had about 8,500 customers without power around 6 p.m. Statewide about 10,000 customers were without power at the time of the storms.

Monroe states that the causes of the outages vary — including downed trees and power lines.
