A northwest Atlanta convenience store clerk was pistol-whipped during a robbery early Thursday.

Channel 2 Action News reported that two masked gunmen entered the Shell gas station and convenience store on Howell Mill Road just west of I-75, forced the two employees to the floor and cleaned out the cash registers.

Then, the gunmen went through the pockets of the clerks.

The suspects “took personal property from both of the employees – wallets, cell phones, keys,” Atlanta police Capt. Van Hobbs told Channel 2.

One of the clerks was then pistol-whipped, suffering minor injuries that did not require hospitalization.
