An 85-year-old Stockbridge woman needs a place to live after alleged thieves set fire to a van on her lawn, burning her house down in the process, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Jewel Miller’s home burned Saturday night after the flames spread from the van to her porch. She said the home then exploded.
Miller survived by escaping out the back door. The house, and everything inside, burned.
The people who are believed to have set the van on fire are also wanted for a string of armed robberies. Information on the investigation was not available Monday, according to Channel 2.
Miller is currently living in a motel and raising money for a new home.
