State Rep. Alisha Thomas Morgan, D-Austell, recently introduced a resolution recognizing retired Cobb police Sergeant Clarence Webb.

Web began working for the count department in 1990, and help strengthen relations between the police department and south Cobb residents. He was an area schools’ mentor and youth sports coach. Webb also help start the youth track program with the Cobb Count Police Athletic League, where he is still a volunteer.

Webb retired from the police department in January.
