A stage collapsed during a concert at Salem High School in Rockdale County, injuring several students.

Officials say the collapse happened at about 7 p.m. on Monday night.

About 16 students were on the stage at the time, according to Rockdale County Sheriff's Office Cpl. Michale Camp.

Several students were treated for minor injuries and two others were taken to Rockdale Medical to be further checked out.

School officials are looking into the cause of the stage collapse.
