Two Spelman College students became the latest victims of crimes against college students Saturday when they were among five people robbed at gunpoint overnight at a park west of the campus, Atlanta police said.

College students have been the targets of a rash of robberies near or on several campuses in Atlanta, including at Georgia Tech and Georgia State University.

The five victims Saturday -- two female Spelman students, another woman and two males -- were robbed around 2 a.m. at Dean Rusk Park, according to Channel 2 Action News.  Two of the women were age 19 and the third was 20, and the two males were ages 24 and 26, police said.

Police spokesman Officer John Chafee said the victims were sitting in an area of the park on Sells Avenue when they noticed two men walking nearby.

"The males approached the victims and each pointed a handgun at them," Chafee said in an email. "The suspects ordered the victims to take their clothes off and put them in a pile. The victims were then ordered into a nearby pool and the suspects fled on foot."

The victims' wallets, cell phones and keys were stolen. Chafee said no one was injured during the incident.
