Southern Regional Medical Center is one of four recipients to receive $10,000 grants from Huggies to support and establish a No Baby Unhugged program. The four hospitals – two in California, one in Tennessee, and Southern Regional in Riverdale – received the grants as part of Huggies’ mission to support hospitals, nurses and the newborns in neonatal intensive care units).

The Women’s Center will utilize the grant to train volunteers and provide consistent, ongoing, uninterrupted therapy through the hospital’s first hugging program. Funds will also help purchase glider rockers, blankets and other accessories to help provide a comforting environment.
