Some residents in Smyrna and Marietta will be stuck with stinky trash straight into the weekend.

The cities posted on Facebook their gameplans for trash pick-up: essentially, they're going to do their best.

They said that if you have a curbside garbage/recycling collection day that was impacted by the 1½ inches of snow that fell in some parts of Cobb, keep your cans at the curb.

Crews will work at reaching your address by end of day on Friday, the cities said.

If they don’t?

Weather permitting — the normal collection schedule will resume on Monday for Smyrna. Marietta said its trash should be picked up Saturday.
