The Snellville City Council approved $281,000 Monday in Special Local Option Sales Tax funds for the construction of Oak Road Passive Park. The contract with Zaveri Enterprises Inc. calls for the neighborhood park to be completed in four months.

The park stretches between Scenic Highway and Mountain View Road. The park will feature a pavilion, a community green, a .25-mile walking trail with a pedestrian bridge and a playground.
