The Smyrna City Council voted recently to grant a rezoning and two liquor licenses to three new restaurants.

They are Wade’s on Concord Road at Hollis Street for the rezoning, Wingstop at 3240 South Cobb Drive in the Kroger shopping center for the beer pouring license and Opa Greek Village Taverna at 2420 Atlanta Road at Windy Hill Road in the new Belmont Hills development for the beer, wine and liquor pouring license.

Wade’s will be a two-story, 3,500-square-foot restaurant, with white-washed brick on all sides, on .142 acres that will face Concord Road.

Rooftop and patio dining will overlook Concord Road Linear Park.

Wade’s will have 166 total seats with 112 seats in the dining areas and 54 seats in the rooftop bar area.

J. D. Childress, one of the co-owners of Smyrna Restaurant Concepts with Jason Wade McClure, said Wade’s should be open by January or February and serve burgers and other casual food.
