Smyrna teen, subject of Mattie's Call, back home safe and sound
The "Mattie's Call" alert posted by Smyrna police for a missing mentally disabled teenager was canceled late Monday morning when the teen returned home.
Erica Candies Giles, 17, had left her home on foot Sunday evening after getting into an argument with her mother, according to Smyrna police spokesman Michael Smith.
The alert was issued around 1 a.m., but was dropped later in the morning when Giles returned home "safe and sound," according to Smith.
