Two arrests have been made in the killing of a man who was living in his car at a Smyrna apartment complex last month, police said Wednesday.

Warren Broadnax, 55, was found fatally shot at the Wyncliff Apartments on Cobb Parkway on July 26.

Police have arrested Jelani Asim Anthony, 35, of Smyrna and Eric Nelson Scales, 29, whose arrest record shows a New York City address.

Anthony, a New York native, and Scales were being held in the Cobb County jail on Wednesday on felony murder charges, according to Smyrna police spokesman Mike Smith. No bond had been set.

Police have not provided a motive for the killing.

Records show Broadnax is a convicted felon who moved to the metro Atlanta area from Louisiana. He served time in a Georgia state prison for cocaine possession in 1995 and armed robbery in 1998. He was also charged in Louisiana in 1993 as a felon with a weapon.
