Four alleged 30 Deep gang members accused in Sunday's brazen smash-and-grab burglaries were denied bond Monday by a Fulton County magistrate judge.

Jarquez Hood, 20,  Kenneth Copeland, 18, Deaundrae Williams, 17, and Shannon Stillwell, 17, are charged with theft by receiving stolen property and street gang activity. Williams and Stillwell are also charged with burglary and first-degree criminal damage to property. All were scheduled to appear Feb. 1 in Superior Court.

Police said the four defendants and five juveniles stole three cars in southwest Atlanta early Sunday. Then, police said, they rammed one of them, a Ford Taurus, into the Focus Clothing Store downtown around 2:30 a.m. and made off with $50,000 worth of designer jeans. The same group committed another smash-and-grab at the E-Z Shop Food Mart in southwest Atlanta, police said.

All nine were arrested Sunday at a Dill Avenue home, where they were sorting through stolen merchandise, police said.

Police initially thought Copeland and Stillwell were 16 or younger but have now verified their ages.

For Hood, it was his second arrest in less than three weeks. Records show he was arrested Dec. 31 and charged with stealing a car and street gang activity. Hood was released on bond the next day.
