For the last month or so, one Gwinnett city has been plagued by a serial flasher — and the unidentified man is growing bolder, police said.
Suwanee police Capt. Cass Mooney said his department has received six calls about the flasher in recent weeks. Spottings have been reported throughout the city, including along Moore Road and near Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.
Mooney said the first several calls involved female runners seeing the man — described as bald, in his 30s and wearing a white tank top with no pants — masturbating in his car with the door open. In the latest pair of incidents, however, the man has actually left his vehicle and approached the victims.
On Wednesday morning, he allegedly went after a female jogger in Town Center Park.
"He got out of the car, he was naked and he walked toward her," Mooney said.
The victim did not have her cellphone and had to run back home to call police. By then, the man had gone.
In most of the incidents, the man was spotted in a light blue or silver Chrysler sedan with a temporary tag. He was most recently spotted "in a dark blue four-door sedan, possibly a Taurus, with an out-of-state license plate with red letter," according to an Instagram post from the city of Suwanee.
Mooney encouraged runners to carry their cellphones so they can contact authorities — or capture evidence of future incidents — more quickly.
"We don't have any pictures of him," he said. "Just the same general description that's been given to us each time."
