Sandy Springs is inviting the public to two “virtual kickoff meetings” later this month to gather community input for an update of the city’s Transportation Master Plan.

The meetings are scheduled for noon to 1 p.m. and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18. A short presentation will be followed by a vision and goals overview and a feedback session for residents. Pre-registration is mandatory for those wishing to participate; to do so: http://spr.gs/tmp

"The current Transportation Master Plan was adopted was in 2008, with many changes taking place in and around the city since that time," according to a city announcement. "The plan will ultimately identify and recommend transportation projects and policies that will improve the mobility and overall safety for all users."

After the virtual sessions, meeting materials and a survey will be posed to the city website, www.sandyspringsga.gov. The survey will take public comment until July 17. Information: https://bit.ly/304Kz0e
