The Sandy Springs City Council this week inked two key agreements connected to its planned City Center development.

Council members approved an agreement worth at least $9. 4 million with a private developer. Under it, Carter-Selig will develop several acres worth of residential properties along Sandy Springs Circle,, retail space on the east side of the Market Square portion of the development, retail outparcels on the southeast side and both subsurface and above-ground parking.

The council also approved an approximately $12.5 million fee with architect Rosser International to design the public portion of city center, including a city office building, performing arts center, community theater and park.
