The Cobb School Counselors Association awarded Superintendent Fred Sanderson the 2010-2011 Advocate of the Year award. Sanderson was nominated by Julie Hartline, lead counselor at Campbell High School, for his understanding and support of school counselors and the role they have in a student's academic and social development. Sanderson retires as superintendent next month. The association is a group of professional school counselors from public and private schools and colleges in Cobb County.
