Roswell police are searching for men accused of stealing $2,200 worth of Apple iPhones from a local AT&T store earlier this month.

Surveillance photos from the Oct. 11 incident were released on the agency's Facebook page on Tuesday, showing four men, who police say took mobile phones from the store while the manager talked with other customers.

The men are responsible for phone thefts at other AT&T stores in Marietta, Woodstock and Conyers, according to police.

The suspects entered the AT&T store on 880 Woodstock Road around 12:50 p.m., during which one man asked the store manager for help. The store manager told the man he was busy with other customers.

During that time, the men walked around the store, setting off several alarms on display phones. The manager told police he could not keep track of each man's movement around the store, even asking a co-worker to assist him.

The store manager later noticed several phones missing from behind his desk and on wall displays. He ran to the back of the store and saw the men speeding off in a bright red Chevrolet Aerostar with tinted windows, police said.

A female witness told police one of the suspects she talked to mentioned he was from Maryland.

Police describe three of the men as having thin body frames and short hair. The forth man is much taller and has dreadlocks. All of the men are possibly in their 20s.
