Robert Clark quits chairman race

Robert Clark, a candidate for chairman of the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners, became the second person to withdraw from the race Monday.

Clark, a Lawrenceville resident, did not give a reason on documents for pulling out of the election, which is being held March 15 to replace Chairman Charles Bannister, who resigned in October. Timothy Swiney withdrew last week because of family obligations.
