Road crews to replace Watson Road culvert

Watson Road northwest of Cumming will be temporarily closed to through traffic for several weeks beginning Wednesday.  The temporary closure will allow for construction of a reinforced concrete box culvert on Watson Road at Yellow Creek.

John Cunard, director of engineering for Forsyth County, said providing a larger culvert will help eliminate flooding of the roadway. The road is slated to re-open Dec. 21. During the closure, a detour route will be marked.
