A cold front and some storms moved through Georgia late Thursday night, mostly impacting the northwest corner of the state, while metro Atlanta did not see much of the action.

The showers were expected to rapidly fade overnight, Channel 2 Action News chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said.

After a cloudy start, Friday will be clear with a high of 67 in metro Atlanta, Burns said. There could be a few sprinkles during the morning rush hour, he said, but it will be sunny by lunchtime.

Saturday and Sunday will be sunny, with highs in the low 70s, he said. Lows will be in the high 40s to low 50s overnight.
