A suspicious package that forced police to evacuate a DeKalb County health clinic contained 35 pounds of marijuana, police told the AJC.
The DeKalb Bomb Squad evacuated Total Health Clinic at 3009 Rainbow Drive near Decatur around 12:15 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of a suspicious item inside, DeKalb police spokesman Officer Jason Gagnon said.
Around 3 p.m., the bomb squad determined the package did not contain explosives and there was no threat, Gagnon said. The staff was allowed to return the building around 3 p.m.
Tests revealed the package contained 35 pounds of marijuana, Gagnon said.
Police said the doctors are cooperating and no arrests have been made. Investigators are still trying to track down the the package's owner, Gagnon said.
