A student was arrested after being found with a gun Wednesday morning at a Cobb County high school, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Pebblebrook High School was placed on lockdown after a student reported seeing another student with a gun, the station reported. Cobb County police and school officers investigated the incident, and the school kept all students in their first-period classes until the incident was over, Channel 2 reported.

Details of the arrest were not available.

Some parents were upset that school officials did not notify them earlier.

“Like I tell my son, bullets don’t have a name,” parent Shonta Dorsey told Channel 2.

Principal Travis Joshua planned to send a letter to parents about the incident Wednesday evening, the station reported.
