The 14-year-old Newton County girl reported missing Sunday morning returned home safely early Monday. Authorities continued searching for the person she left home with.

Investigators say Emily Miller, of Oxford,  left her home with someone she met online, Lt. Tyrone Oliver with the Newton County Sheriff's Office told the AJC. Miller's family told police the eighth-grader had numerous medical conditions and left home without her medications.

Miller returned home unharmed around 12:30 a.m. Monday, Oliver said.

"This case is still under investigation as to where she was and who she was with," Oliver said in a statement early Monday. Although she left voluntarily, the person she was with could face charges because Emily us underage.
