Police probe Powder Springs woman's death

Powder Springs Police are investigating a woman's death that occurred Thursday after officers performed a welfare check at a home in the 3800 block of Deercreek Drive.

Upon arrival at 10:35 p.m., officers found the remains of 53-year-old Melodie Lynn Hudson-Honea, of Powder Springs. The cause of death is still under investigation.
