Police investigating 2-year-old’s drowning

Peachtree City police are investigating a child’s drowning, after he was found unresponsive in Lake Peachtree.

Police and fire officials responded to a call on Loblolly Circle about 7 p.m. in reference to the 2-year-old.

Life saving measures were attempted by the family and first responders, police said.

The child was taken to Piedmont Fayette Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The child’s name has not been released.

The investigation is on-going.
