Police have located the car of the man accused of fatally shooting one repo man early Thursday morning and critically injuring another.
The gray 2004 Ford Mustang was found Thursday night around 9:30 p.m. behind a warehouse in the 4700 block of Aviation Boulevard in unincorporated Clayton, Fulton County police spokesman Sgt. Scott McBride said.
Police are still looking for 29-year-old Justin Moore, who allegedly shot and killed Brandon Thomas, 27, in Fairburn when Thomas and another man tried to repossess the Ford.
Willie Thackston, 36, also was shot in the incident and remains in fair condition at Grady Memorial Hospital.
Both Thackston and Thomas worked for Hill & Associates of Georgia.
The incident began shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday at a home on Milam Loop, in the southern end of the county near the Fayette County line.
McBride said two men went to the home to repossess the Mustang, and the homeowner fired a shotgun at them.
The repo men got the car onto a tow truck and left, but the homeowner caught up with them a short distance away, got the Mustang off the truck and left in it, McBride said.
Responding officers found Thackston, the tow truck driver, wounded and Thomas dead of a gunshot wound. Thackston was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, and was in critical condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Police spotted the Mustang, and chased the car into Clayton County, but called off the pursuit after speeds reached 150 mph, McBride said.
Charges against Moore include murder, aggravated assault, possesion of a firearm by a felon and possession of firearm during the commission of a felony.
