Poet Trethewey to speak at Georgia Gwinnett College

Author Natasha Trethewey will speak at 5 p.m. Sunday at the student center at Georgia Gwinnett College, 1000 University Center Lane, Lawrenceville.

Trethewey, the author of three poetry collections, is Poet Laureate of the United States. A native of Gulfport Miss., she won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize and numerous other prizes. Her newest book, “Thrall,” will be published this fall.
